Here is the Amazon writeup…

Product Description
ALL THE INGREDIENTS FOR A HIGH STRANGENESS STEW Mix two parts science fiction with one part high-level government secrecy. Add a liberal helping of the paranormal. Then let Nick Redfern heat and serve. The result is far, far stranger than anything that you could ever begin to imagine. SCIENCE FICTION SECRETS presents some mind-bending answers to a number of highly intriguing and thought-provoking questions, including: — Did the U.S. Government secretly assist Steven Spielberg in the production of his groundbreaking science fiction movies “Close Encounters of the Third Kind” and “E.T.: The Extra Terrestrial”? — Why were special agents of the FBI so deeply interested in the life, career, and activities of science fiction author Philip K. Dick (of “Blade Runner” fame)? — How did “The X-Files” spin-off series “The Lone Gunmen” anticipate months in advance the terrible tragedy of 9-11? — Why was the top brass of the U.S. Air Force so secretly interested in, and concerned by, the UFO-related tales of a relatively anonymous 1950s science fiction movie-maker who died in poverty in the early 1980s? — Did a nightmarish scenario presented in one of H.G. Wells’ novels prompt Soviet Premier Josef Stalin to clandestinely embark upon a secret and diabolical experiment designed to create a super race of monstrous, half-human half-ape soldiers? — Has the military managed to successfully perfect human teleportation of the type that was most graphically and famously shown in “Star Trek” and “The Fly”?

Here’s the ad write up from the site…

Product Description
We are not alone…and Nick Redfern can prove it.

Contactees contains the fascinating stories of the select group of people chosen by visitors to Earth to spread their message. Are aliens really among us? Don’t be too quick to dismiss their claims.

Truman Bethurum was divorced by his wife because she believed he was having close encounters of a very personal kind with a beautiful extraterrestrial “space captain” named Aura Rhanes. Is he nuts? Prescient? An omen?

A band of eerily human-looking, blond-haired aliens–later known as the Space-Brothers–informed other contactees that they were concerned by our warlike ways and wished us to live in peace with one another. Acting on the advice of the Space-Brothers, contactees such as George Van Tassel and George Adamski went out and spread the extraterrestrial word to anyone and everyone who would listen. And many did, including U.S. government agencies.

More than half a century later, the contactees are still among us, still telling their tales of personal alien encounters, and still maintaining their cult-like status in the world of UFOlogy. Nick Redfern’s Contactees relates their thought-provoking, lluminating, controversial, and sometimes bizarre stories in all their appropriately out-of-this-world glory.

New Audio Page Added Courtesy of Tim Binnall

by admin on Dec.27, 2008, under Nick Redfern, Web Site News

New to the Nick Redfern web site, we now have the beginnings of an ‘Audio‘ page, added to the ‘Multimedia’ section. This comes courtesy of Tim Binnall.

Despite only having three files thus far this, none the less, amounts to an incredible 4+ hours of interview time. Click here for more of Tim’s interviews.

The following is Tim’s bio…

Tim Binnall is the founder of the esoteric think tank binnall of america (BoA), an online coterie that features both a weekly audio program and a talented staff of writers, a number of which have gone on to gain prominence writing for national paranormal magazines. He is the host and producer of the critically acclaimed BoA:Audio, one of the premiere podcasts in the paranormal genre. Over the last three years, Binnall has interviewed a vast number of researchers, spanning a wide spectrum of disciplines and ranging from bonafide esoteric icons to up-and-coming future players in the paranormal milieu.

A graduate of Syracuse University, Binnall maintains a detached view of the paranormal world, while possessing a keen interest in the personalities and sociology of esoteric studies. He has written for Coast to Coast AM‘s After Dark newsletter, explored the Bridgewater Triangle, Oak Island, and the haunted Whaley House, made numerous appearances on various paranormal radio programs, and is currently working on a number of future esoteric projects.

An Actual Introduction…

by admin on Dec.09, 2008, under Nick Redfern, Web Site News

After some considerable messing around with Nick’s site, I think it’s about time I wrote something of substance here!

I have, for a long time, been itching to update the site for Nick. I wanted something far more dynamic. So, finally, I’ve slowly started to figure out the whole blog thing; not just using them but installing, configuring, customizing, managing the database back-end, etc…

I had already created two WordPress blog based sites:

  1. Exopolitics Florida — of which I am Co-Chairman
  2. Barack Obama UFO — in collaboration with Grant Cameron

Those two sites, rather obviously, use the same template. I’m not really good enough to go creating them from scratch at the moment :(

For Nick, however, I wanted something that better suited his work. He is, I think you’ll agree, the ‘Johnny Ramone of the Paranormal’ 8-)

I have known Nick since about 1998. We originally met at the Staffordshire UFO Group (SUFOG). I used to travel up there with our mutual friend — and fellow fan of all things strange and conspiratorial –Tracie Austin-Peters. Now, I don’t take to anyone too quickly, but it stuck me instantly that our boy Redfern was and is ‘top bloke’! For anyone who hasn’t met Nick in person… you couldn’t hope to meet a more decent guy.

A couple of years passed and I had taken the rather brave decision — for me at least — to move ‘State Side’ and get married. Indeed, it came as a bit of shock to Tracie and, I suspect, probably to Nick also… they are both aware of my quiet demeanor.

Now, it came as a shock to me, somewhat later on, to find that not only Tracie had moved to the U.S. to get married, but Nick also. And I’d like to think I started a trend there, somehow

Tracie now has her TV talk show, Let’s Talk Paranormal. Nick, as you know, is a prolific author and, suffice it to say, busy beyond words with his work. I am still struggling to make a difference. I help where I can, where I am able. And so, knowing enough about web stuff to get me a less than average income, I try to ‘spread the UFO-logical word’. I have my own presentation, which probably won’t take off. And I’m an OK writer… who just hasn’t found a niche.

So, once again, welcome to Nick Redfern’s new-look site, buy his books (!!), follow his adventures, live vicariously if you wish, and if you happen to be one of Nick’s fellow bloggers and friends — you know who you are!! — then sign up, let me know that you want to post blog entries, and let’s get this show on the road!

Cheers!
Paul Robinson
